Make a difference in education by supporting students and educators in a dynamic, contract-based paraprofessional role near Arvada, CO. This opportunity is designed for professionals passionate about working in Special Education (SPED) classrooms and interested in providing essential support to students ranging from elementary to high school age groups.
Key Requirements:
- At least one full year of hands-on experience in Special Education classrooms
- Strong preference for candidates with experience supporting significant or severe caseloads
- Flexibility to work with varying age groups and adapt to reassignments across different school sites
- Reliable personal transportation to report on-site daily (public transport not sufficient)
- Ability to report to work by 7:40am (elementary) or 8:00am (middle/high schools)
- Willingness to assist students with personal care, including toileting and diapering, if needed
- Successful completion of District-required fingerprinting/background check (no misdemeanor or felony charges permitted)
- Ability to provide two completed, professional RefAssured references at the time of application (required for consideration)

Role Overview:
- Collaborate with teachers and students in classroom and one-on-one settings.
- Support students’ unique learning plans and adapt assistance according to individual needs.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate approach, especially when working with students who have complex behavioral or physical needs.
- Remain flexible with assignments as you may be reassigned based on school needs.
- Maintain clear communication with school staff and students’ families as appropriate.
Contract length: August 11, 2024, through May 21, 2027, with roles available across multiple schools (weekly hours vary by assignment).
