Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular surveillance and monitoring of infection control practices throughout the facility, including but not limited to hand hygiene, environmental cleaning, and sterilization.

• Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

• Identify and investigate potential transmission risks and exposure risks, and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

• Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control best practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and infection control measures.

• Develop and maintain accurate records and reports related to infection prevention and control activities, including but not limited to incident reports, surveillance data, and educational materials.

• Collaborate with healthcare teams to evaluate and improve patient care practices to minimize the risk of infection.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize infection prevention and control practices and promote efficient use of resources.

Requirements:

• Current LPN/RN license in the state of Illinois

• Minimum of 0 years of experience in infection prevention and control

• Strong understanding of infection prevention and control principles and practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy

• Familiarity with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office software
