Instrument Fitter

CEIS Power is seeking an experienced Instrument technician with 5+ years of experience installing and assembling industrial instrumentation systems within a manufacturing environment. This position is on a contract-to-hire basis, and our client, an industrial manufacturing and service company, is looking for a motivated individual to join their fast-paced, growing team.

Responsibilities

• Install and route pneumatic tubing for industrial process and control systems
• Install and terminate electrical and electronic instrumentation on compressors, skids, and process equipment
• Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation drawings
• Mount and install transmitters, gauges, valves, regulators, tubing, fittings, and other instrumentation components
• Bend, route, and secure stainless steel tubing while ensuring proper fit, support, and leak-free connections
• Perform instrument hook-up and verify proper installation of field devices
• Support equipment assembly, testing, and commissioning activities
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical installation issues as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following company safety procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience installing industrial instrumentation systems
• Experience with pneumatic tubing installation and instrumentation hook-up
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and instrumentation drawings
• Experience installing field instruments, valves, tubing, fittings, and control components
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Experience

• Experience assembling compressor packages, process skids, or oil & gas equipment
• Instrumentation calibration or commissioning experience
• Knowledge of PLC, control panels, and industrial control systems
