Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Med/Surg night shift position in Peoria, IL, requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of one year of nursing experience.

Details

• 13-week contract at a hospital-based Neuro unit (8C Neuro)
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
• Weekend shifts on a rotation basis
• Holiday shifts on a rotation basis
• May be required to float to other Carle Health network facilities, including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
• EMR: Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required; temp license accepted
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Responsible for managing a patient caseload across a designated shift using the nursing process, current clinical trends, and available resources
• Completes patient admissions assessments and develops, implements, and continuously updates individualized care plans
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to support interdisciplinary care coordination
• Upholds patient and staff safety by identifying, reporting, and addressing safety hazards or incidents
• Contributes to a collaborative team environment through constructive peer feedback and ongoing professional development
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at Carle Health facilities for more than one year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning after reaching the one-year mark
