Contract Hospice Admissions RN

Contract Hospice Admissions RN role in Denver, Colorado offers a 12-week travel assignment. The position provides competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to deliver compassionate hospice care to patients. The role requires a valid Colorado RN license and at least one year of hospice nursing experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide compassionate hospice nursing care per physician orders and agency policies
Assess patient conditions and accurately document findings in EMR (Netsmart)
Coordinate admissions, ensuring timely processing of at least three patient admissions per day
Train and mentor new agency travelers during the one-day onboarding session with the clinical educator
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality end-of-life care

Qualifications:

Valid Colorado RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
At least 1 year of hospice nursing experience; 2 years preferred
Ability to work flexible schedules
Strong communication skills
Reliable transportation
Ability to work independently
