About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Investment Tax to lead and drive impactful tax strategies for investment activities across diverse public and private markets in the Americas. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance on tax structuring for complex investment opportunities and acquisitions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing tax outcomes. This role involves developing and implementing tax governance policies, risk management strategies, and staying abreast of relevant tax laws and practices. The AVP will also be expected to promote cross-departmental collaboration, contribute to special projects, and enhance the organization's tax strategy. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, with an LL.M. in taxation highly preferred, and a minimum of 8 years' of relevant tax experience, ideally in international or M&A/funds tax. Proficiency in analytical, writing, and oral communication skills is essential, as is the ability to synthesize technical tax concepts for non-specialist audiences. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, a commitment to accuracy, and an innovative, commercially focused mindset. Experience with tax issues related to public and private credit investments is advantageous. The AVP will also be involved in training programs to enhance tax awareness and knowledge across departments and will be expected to maintain clear communication with stakeholders to align tax strategies with business objectives.
