Sr Health Data Analyst - Compliance & Privacy

Requisition #:668376 Location: Johns Hopkins Health Plans, Hanover, MD 21076 Category: Information Technology Schedule: Day Shift Employment Type: Full Time Position Summary The Compliance Senior Health Data Analyst is responsible for providing advanced analytics, reporting, and data‑driven insights that support regulatory compliance, privacy protection, data governance, operational excellence, and strategic decision‑making across the Compliance and Privacy department. This role develops and maintains reporting, compliance monitoring dashboards, provider performance analytics, data loss prevention (DLP) monitoring, and Power BI visualizations that enable leadership and business owners to assess organizational performance, identify emerging risks, detect potential privacy and security vulnerabilities, and drive corrective actions. The analyst serves as a key resource in responding to regulatory requests, audits, investigations, privacy incidents, and member requests for claims and healthcare information, ensuring accurate extraction, validation, analysis, and presentation of complex healthcare data in accordance with applicable privacy, security, and regulatory requirements. Working collaboratively with Compliance, Privacy, and Regulatory Affairs staff, the analyst delivers actionable information that supports compliance oversight, regulatory readiness, provider accountability, data loss prevention initiatives, protection of sensitive information, and informed operational and executive decision‑making. Requirements Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Economics, Health Economics, Epidemiology, or a closely related analytic field is required. Bachelor’s degree and equivalent work experience may be substituted. Work Experience Requires 7 years of experience with proven skills in analyzing and interpreting data. Demonstrated experience with executing data‑based projects from initiation to completion; prior project management experience preferred. 2 years of experience with Medicare/Medicaid or similar healthcare clinical/claims data, including working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and their applicability to data protection. Salary Range: Minimum $41.00/hour – Maximum $65.60/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
