Associate Underwriter - Commercial Lines

Associate Underwriter – Amwins Access, Woodland Hills, CA This is a full-time, in‑office position located in the Woodland Hills, CA office with potential for a hybrid schedule once training is complete. Qualifications 1 year of prior insurance experience and/or a related degree from an accredited four‑year university Property & Casualty License, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days (cost reimbursed; study support provided by Amwins) Team‑oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high‑quality work Ability to effectively manage competing priorities, handle pressure, and thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume work environment Strong communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail, organization, professionalism, and a customer‑service focus Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheets Responsibilities Review submission information required to issue new or renewal quotes. Rate and prepare new or renewal quotes as directed by the Underwriter. Review and handle inspection recommendations and discrepancies. Monitor various reports for consistency. Potential for policy issuance and endorsement processing, including audits. Assist in accounting procedures such as invoicing. Data entry into multiple internet‑based systems. Compensation Pursuant to California regulation, the compensation range for this position is $70,304 USD – $70,304 USD and includes eligibility for performance‑based bonuses.
