Environmental Services Floor TechnicianThe Environmental Services Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining the facility in a clean, sanitary and safe condition; must be able to perform the assigned duties and functions in accordance with the standard policy and procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with the hospital objectives. The EVS attendant must maintain good public relations while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality and satisfaction and exhibit Community Cares standards.Basic Knowledge And AbilitiesEducation / License / Certification:High school graduate or GED preferredExperience / Skills:Prior experience in healthcare or commercial housekeeping preferredExperience in operating all types of electric and battery-operated floor care equipment preferredJob ResponsibilitiesRemove, handle, transport bio-medical waste, hazardous waste, clean linen soiled linen and regular wasteClean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, ancillary areas, offices and public areas to include sterile areas, isolation roomsDust mop and wet mop floors; vacuum carpeted areasStock supplies to include paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, hand sanitizer, sharp boxes, and glovesRun and maintain floor care equipment within scopeMove furniture to include patient beds and mattressesAssure all set ups are completed in a timely manner and in the appropriate styleStrips, scrubs, re-coats and buffs hard surface floors using battery and electrical equipmentBonnet and extract carpeted floorsCount par levels for clean linen and deliver clean linenAll other duties as assigned
