Precision CNC Machinist – Complex Parts Fabrication

Picture your day in Johnstown and New Albany, OH 43031: you arrive to a clean, well-organized cell, pull up the latest work order, and dive into a challenging setup on advanced CNC equipment. You load tools, verify offsets, run a first-article part, and check every critical feature with micrometers and calipers. Small tweak to a wear offset? Done. A smarter sequence that improves cycle time? You suggest it—and the team is all ears. Throughout the shift, you keep the machine humming, the documentation precise, and the workspace safe.

What you’ll do

Set up and run CNC machinery to manufacture parts that meet print and customer specs.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to plan tool selection and operations.
Watch cycle performance, making in-process adjustments to uphold tight quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to sustain optimal equipment health.
Partner with teammates to refine processes, boost throughput, and reduce scrap.
Verify features using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, and related gauges).
Record production and inspection data with accuracy and completeness.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a tidy, organized work area.

What you bring

High school diploma or equivalent; machining trade school or certification preferred.
Hands-on experience as a CNC machinist or closely related role.
Fluency in reading technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
Solid grasp of CNC programming concepts and machine controls.
Comfort using precision metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving ability.
Self-directed but highly collaborative when the job calls for it.
Clear communicator with a strong commitment to safety.
