Job Title: Sheet Metal Technician

Location: New Albany, OH

Pay: Up to $35/hr

Per Diem: $100/day

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Technician to join our team for an exciting new build medical facility project located in New Albany, OH. This project is expected to last for about a year and offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team on an industrial project installing ductwork and sheet metal.

Responsibilities

• Install ductwork and sheet metal systems on industrial projects.
• Layout and install sheet metal and/or duct systems according to blueprints and specifications.
• Assist with the assembly and installation of HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, curbs, louvers, and hangers.
• Maintain equipment in good working order and perform timely maintenance.
• Follow all OSHA and TPMC standards for safety.
• Offload deliveries and load trucks at job sites.

Essential Skills

• Experience with RTUs, curb units, and various sizes of ductwork.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Proficiency in HVAC installation.
• Must possess OSHA 10 certification or higher, or ability to obtain before starting.
• Experience with setting curbs, hanging ducts, installing sheet metal, and setting rooftop units.
• Own hand tools including wrench, pliers, channel locks, vice grips, impact drill, 9/16ths sockets with impact adapter, and screwdrivers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with installing louvers, setting rooftop equipment, rigging, ductwork/sheet metal.
• Journeyman card is preferred.
• Valid license and reliable vehicle.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New Albany, OH.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a Contract position based out of New Albany, OH.
