If you are ready to support a high-performing team that truly makes a difference, then come join us!Position DetailsThe ClassifyIT team is seeking a Software Engineer to work with a team of developers to implement new capabilities in support of the current classification marking tool and the tool to be used to support M365 web-based applications. The position involves full life cycle design, development, testing, and documentation of policy-driven software across multiple fabrics. The focus will include the extension and customization of tools used for classification string validation and comparison for access control. Experience in JavaScript is required. The developer is expected to have experience with requirements elicitation. The developer should be able to work collaboratively, within an existing team. The candidate will be expected to provide input throughout the software lifecycle.The Level 1 Software Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:Possess working knowledge of JavaScript/DOM, Typescript, Node.js/npmExperience in AWS (ability to navigate AWS dashboards & services)Hands on experience utilizing Docker (command line) and converting applications to Docker imagesExperience utilizing Git (command line), GitLab CI and GitLab pipelinesFamiliar with Jest, and CypressWorking knowledge of JIRA and GitlabExperience developing functional and unit testsExperience performing code reviewsAbility to work directly with customersTroubleshooting skillsAbility to adhere to coding standards and follow team policiesGather, analyze, and capture customer requirementsAdhere to development processes the team has establishedAssist in the development of requirements for new features and fix defectsCreate and expand unit testsKnowledge of Microsoft Office JavaScript APITrack and respond to user issues/questionsTriage user issuesTest new software releases and merge requestsExperience working collaboratively with a team of developers, Contractors, and the GovernmentContribute content for the development of high level documentation and guidesStrong, Time Management skillsQualifications3+ years of Software Engineering experienceBachelor's degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to computer engineering or computer science disciplines. 4 years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree for a total of 7 years.Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate PolygraphPay Range: 129,000-159,000RealmOne BenefitsHealthcare Coverage + Insurance: Medical: Three (3) rich healthcare options through CareFirst with 100% or majority company-paid premiums.
