Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as a School Psychologist, supporting students across elementary, middle, and high school settings in a vibrant educational community near Waukegan, IL. This full-time opportunity begins August 26, 2026, and extends through June 11, 2027, working Monday through Friday. Licensed professionals in Illinois are invited to bring their expertise in assessment, collaboration, and student advocacy to a diverse caseload.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist license in Illinois
- Experience with eligibility meetings, re-evaluation reviews, and functional behavioral assessments
- Comfort working with students from early childhood through high school
- Strong communication skills with families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of special education law and current best practices in evaluation and intervention
- Ability to travel between local preschools as needed for early childhood assignments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations, re-evaluations, and functional behavioral assessments
- Support and facilitate the IEP process, including attending and leading meetings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers to ensure student needs are met
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to families, particularly to those new to the special education process
- Serve as an active partner in MTSS data team meetings and problem-solving initiatives
- Manage caseloads for early childhood (ages 3-5) and elementary grades (K-4), including travel between preschools
