Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make an impact in education as a School Psychologist working on a travel contract spanning elementary, middle, and high school settings. This role involves meaningful work with students, families, and educators, and offers the chance to gain diverse experience across multiple age groups. The assignment runs full-time from August 26, 2026, through June 11, 2027, Monday through Friday.

Opportunities are available for two specific roles:

• Early Childhood Position (0.6 FTE, 3 days per week): Focused on screening and evaluations for children ages 3-5, traveling between three local preschools. You’ll guide families new to special education, partner with general education colleagues, communicate clearly, and attend IEP meetings. A solid understanding of special education law and early childhood assessment best practices is essential.
• K-4 School Psychologist (1.0 FTE, 5 days per week): Responsible for evaluations, facilitating MTSS data team meetings, supporting the IEP process, problem-solving, and conducting both initial and re-evaluation IEP meetings for elementary students. Strong communication skills and comprehensive knowledge of special education regulations are required.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois School Psychologist certification
• Demonstrated experience in school psychology (elementary levels, early childhood, multi-age settings)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Familiarity with functional behavioral assessments, MTSS, IEP facilitation, and special education law
• Ability to travel locally between school sites as needed
• Commitment to collaboration and clear family communication

Responsibilities:

• Conduct student evaluations and re-evaluations
• Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and assessment reports
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists
