About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to support healthcare compliance operations, transparency reporting, and healthcare professional (HCP) engagement processes. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations while partnering with cross-functional teams to improve operational processes, reporting accuracy, and data quality.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional with experience in healthcare, transparency reporting, and HCP engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Transparency Reporting & Compliance Operations
- Support the execution of federal and state healthcare transparency reporting requirements, including Open Payments and Sunshine Act reporting.
- Collect, validate, reconcile, and maintain transfer-of-value data related to healthcare professionals.
- Assist with report preparation, submissions, dispute management, and audit-ready documentation.
- Monitor regulatory developments and support updates to policies, controls, and compliance processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and data quality.
HCP Engagement Compliance
- Support compliance monitoring activities related to speaker programs, consulting engagements, advisory boards, and other HCP interactions.
- Review payments, contracts, and supporting documentation for compliance with policies and regulations.
- Track corrective actions and assist with issue resolution and trend analysis.
Systems & Process Support
- Partner with Commercial, Medical, Finance, and IT teams to support compliance systems and payment platforms.
- Assist with system testing, validation, documentation, and workflow enhancements.
- Support annual needs assessments and ongoing monitoring of HCP engagement activities.
Due Diligence & Fair Market Value (FMV)
- Conduct due diligence reviews on healthcare professionals, healthcare organizations, and related entities.
- Maintain due diligence documentation and risk assessment records.
- Support Fair Market Value (FMV) processes, methodologies, and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure compliance with FMV standards.
Program & Audit Support
- Assist with SOP development, training materials, and compliance documentation.
- Support audits, inspections, and internal compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on compliance initiatives and operational improvements.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Compliance, Healthcare, Finance, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, transparency reporting, compliance operations, or a related field.
- Experience supporting healthcare professional (HCP) engagement activities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred
- Experience with Open Payments / Sunshine Act reporting.
- Experience working with compliance systems, payment systems, and third-party vendors.
- Knowledge of Fair Market Value (FMV) processes.
- Experience working in regulated healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device environments.
