Cranford Park Care - Job Description Cranford Park Care is seeking an experienced Cook to join our Dietary Team. As a Cook you will oversee and ensure effective food preparation and service during your shift. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepares food items and serves food to residents within scheduled time frame. Follows menu cycle, noting changes or substitutions made on proper form. Cleans and maintains a neat, safe working environment including the kitchen and food service areas. Complies with state sanitation codes. Maintains inventory control, places food order, verifies that items are received appropriately and restocks kitchen shelves appropriately. Directs food service and dining service functions. Maintains the quantity of food prepared and samples the food to ensure the quality of the food served to the residents. Ensures that resident food preferences are known and followed. Maintains meal service records as required. Reports problems, concerns, issues observed with food service and communicates them appropriately to Food Service Director Observes changes in resident status, needs, or preferences and communicates with appropriate team members. Records resident information, as required. Avoids loss, breakage, and waste of supplies and equipment. Adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, worker safety and other emergency procedures. Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independent, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents. Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Knowledge of specialty diets and textures. Performs other tasks/duties as assign REQUIREMENTS: Certification in healthcare cooking (ServSafe or Sodexo) Minimum 2 years of experience in large-scale cooking Strong knowledge of large scale & therapeutic food prep Must be able to do some physical work High School Diploma or Equivalent Excellent customer service & communication skills Will manage Kitchen in absence of food service director Job Type: Full-time #J-18808-Ljbffr
