Senior SEC Reporting Analyst

Seeking an accounting professional with SEC reporting experience to support the development of a public company reporting function. This role offers exposure to SEC filings, SOX compliance, technical accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities SEC Reporting & Compliance Assist in preparing SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, registration statements, and proxy filings. Prepare supporting workpapers and disclosure tie‑outs to ensure filing accuracy. Validate XBRL data for SEC submissions. Prepare consolidated financial statements, including cash flow statements, equity reporting, and footnote disclosures. Support monthly and quarterly variance analysis and MD&A preparation. Collaborate with finance and business teams to validate disclosures and financial reporting. Technical Accounting Research accounting issues and new accounting/reporting standards. Prepare technical accounting memos supporting GAAP compliance. Internal Controls & Audit Support Assist with the development and execution of SOX‑compliant internal controls. Support external audits and quarterly reviews by preparing schedules and documentation. Participate in process improvement initiatives and reporting automation efforts. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred. Master's degree is a plus. Experience 2–4 years of accounting experience in SEC reporting or public accounting. Big 4 experience preferred. Technical Skills Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. Experience with Excel required. Experience with Workiva or other SEC reporting software preferred. Exposure to SOX compliance, internal controls, or insurance accounting is a plus. Additional Skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
