A multi-office law firm specializing in Estate Planning and Probate matters is seeking a Probate Paralegal for their Tri Cities, WA location. This role supports one primary on-site attorney and will aid additional attorneys as needed.
The salary range for the role is 55-75k. They offer medical, dental and vision insurance, retirement savings plan with a 3% company match, 9 paid holidays, two weeks PTO plus additional sick time of 1 hour per 40 hours worked, and free onsite parking.
This role is very client facing to support throughout the probate process, including attending client meetings and signings. Additionally, tasks include but are not limited to drafting probate docs, wills, POAs and correspondence, filing with courts, calendaring and tracking deadlines, maintaining files, managing inbound and outbound paperwork and other billable and non-billable tasks. Paralegals are required to bill 125 hours monthly, tracked on a quarterly basis. The firm has a healthy caseload and paralegals have always been able to reach their requirement or exceed it.
- 2+ years of experience with Probate matters
- Experience filing with local Washington courts
- Experience drafting (from templates) probate and estate documents
- Clear and empathetic communication skills
- Experience calendaring for an attorney, proactive of deadlines
- Active notary license desired but not required
