CNC Machinist

CEIS Power is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with 3+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC lathes and mills in a manufacturing environment. This position is on a direct hire basis and, our client, a specialized manufacturing company in the nuclear sector, is looking for a motivated individual to join their fast-paced growing team. The right person for this position will be able to perform well under pressure and be adaptable to rapid change and redirection.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment

• Experience operating and setting up 3-axis CNC machines

• Experience with CNC lathes and mills, including horizontal and vertical machining equipment

• Familiarity with Fanuc controls and understanding of G & M codes

• Ability to modify existing CNC programs and machine setups

• Experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications

• Ability to machine parts to tolerances as tight as ±.005

• Experience with stainless steel machining preferred

• Familiarity with Mastercam and SolidWorks preferred

• Aerospace, plastics, nuclear, or highly regulated manufacturing experience is a plus

• NQA-1 certification experience is a plus

Responsibilities:
The right person for this position will be responsible for the following:

• Set up and operate 3-axis CNC machines in a production and custom machining environment

• Perform machining operations on both CNC lathes and mills using horizontal and vertical equipment

• Modify existing CNC programs and setups as needed to support production requirements

• Machine stainless steel and specialty components in a variety of sizes

• Manufacture precision components for the nuclear defense and waste disposal industries

• Inspect machined parts using measuring tools and GD&T standards to ensure compliance with customer specifications

• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues to maintain production efficiency and quality

• Support both high-volume production work and custom machining projects
