Keep the Business Moving.Hinderer Motor Company is seeking a Senior Accountant who plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of our financial operations.This is not a back-office role. This position sits at the center of dealership operations—working across departments, supporting daily activity, and ensuring that financial processes are executed correctly every time.This role does not directly manage people but is a key driver of accountability, accuracy, and operational discipline across the accounting function.If you’re someone who takes ownership, catches what others miss, and holds a high standard for how work gets done—this is where you make an impact.What You’ll OwnFinancial Reporting & AccuracyPrepare and review monthly financial statements in accordance with dealership and manufacturer requirementsEnsure accuracy across schedules, reconciliations, and financial reportingSupport daily operating controls (DOC) and provide visibility into key financial trendsAssist with forecasting and financial planning activitiesAccounting Operations & ControlsEnsure all financial transactions—including deals, commissions, inventory, and receivables—are processed accuratelyReview work, identify discrepancies, and take action to correct issuesMaintain clean, accurate schedules and ensure timely month-end close processesSupport payroll processing and ensure accuracy in payroll recordsCash Flow & Financial OversightMonitor daily cash activity, bank deposits, and cash flow needsSupport floor plan reporting and vehicle payoffsAssist in managing receivables, approvals, and account activityAccountability & Process OversightPartner with accounting and administrative team members to ensure work is completed accurately and on timeProvide guidance and support to maintain consistency with company policies and proceduresIdentify inefficiencies or breakdowns in process and drive improvementsSupport cross-training efforts to ensure continuity across key functionsCompliance & Operational SupportEnsure compliance with federal, state, and manufacturer financial requirementsMaintain accuracy of tax reporting, payroll-related filings, and financial documentationOversee manufacturer accounts (warranty, rebates, co-op, etc.) for accuracy and timelinessServe as a resource for payroll, commissions, and accounting-related questions across the dealershipWhat You BringAccounting experience, preferably within a dealership environmentStrong understanding of financial statements and month-end close processesHigh attention to detail and strong sense of ownershipAbility to identify issues, solve problems, and follow throughStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to influence and drive accountability without direct authorityExperience with dealership systems (Dealertrack or similar) is a plusWhy This Role MattersHigh-impact role supporting daily dealership operationsDirect visibility into business performance and financial healthOpportunity to improve processes and strengthen operational consistencyStable, family-owned company with a strong team environmentLocationHeath, Ohio (Onsite)Ready to Step In and Take Ownership?Apply today and be part of a team that values accuracy, accountability, and getting the job done right.Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr Priority Dispatch Corp.
