Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Houston Field Office, located in Houston, TX. Duties As a Mission Support Specialist (Facilities), you will use your expertise as a program coordinator for major facility and technical projects within their area of responsibility (AOR) of a Field Office which impacts operational readiness, safety, and security of facilities and technical systems which affect CBP, other Federal agencies, private entities, and the general public. This position starts at a salary of $103,225.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $134,195.00 (GS-12, Step 10). GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area. In this position, you will strengthen the Department's ability to perform homeland security functions by becoming a valuable member of a team of administrative professionals. Qualifications Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Developing submissions and maintaining records in facility tracking systems Monitoring and coordinating maintenance of physical security systems Monitoring initial and ongoing operations for problems, complaints, anomalies, issues, and reporting to management Providing guidance on issues in the areas of safety, security of facilities, or technical system issues Recommending changes to internal procedures as required to meet workload demands NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible.
