The Role
As a Relief Veterinarian, the successful candidate will integrate seamlessly into an established general practice, delivering high-quality care while aligning with AAHA standards and clinic protocols.
- Provide comprehensive outpatient care, preventive medicine and client education
- Perform general soft-tissue procedures, including spays/neuters, mass removals and dental treatments
- Interpret imaging and in-house lab results to develop timely, evidence-based treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with technicians and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent client communication
- Maintain accurate, paperless medical records
- Daytime shifts aligned with weekday operations; exact coverage and frequency scheduled in advance

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Current license (or immediate eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in the State of New York
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong general practice skills and comfort with in-house diagnostics and dentistry; prior relief or multi-practice experience is advantageous
- Excellent communication, teamwork and client-service skills
