• Provide counseling and emotional support tailored to the unique challenges faced by clients in detox, assisting them in managing life transitions.

• Advocate for clients by connecting them with community resources, including identifying local support services and programs that enhance recovery.

• Regularly monitor clients’ progress through virtual check-ins, adapting care plans as necessary to better serve their evolving needs.

• Document all client interactions, assessments, and progress notes accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) to maintain compliance and enhance service continuity.

• Support families by facilitating communication, conflict resolution, and providing education on available resources to aid in recovery support.

• Stay current on best practices in social work and substance abuse treatment, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and state regulations.

Your primary focus will be on individuals seeking detoxification from substance use. You will work with a diverse range of clients, including young adults and seniors, each facing different challenges in their recovery journey. Your empathetic approach will help clients feel understood, respected, and motivated to engage in their recovery processes actively.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

• Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a social work role, particularly within a detox, healthcare, or community-based setting.

• Strong understanding of social work principles, current policies, and aging-related issues, especially as they relate to substance use and recovery.

• Exceptional assessment, counseling, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with clients and their families.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective collaboration in a multi-disciplinary team.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in relevant computer applications.

• Experience in a detox or rehabilitation environment, especially working with diverse client populations.
