Job Summary: Due to a recent internal promotion, we have a new opening on our benefits team. The Benefits Coordinator is a key role within the Human Resources department supporting the benefits area and HR integration process for new mergers, focusing on the planning and execution of the retirement and benefit plan merger process. This position will be responsible for developing and delivering clear and proactive communication strategies to ensure a seamless transition for incoming mergers with a strong attention to detail. In this role, you will:

• Assist with the development of a retirement plan consolidation strategy, with consideration to organizational objectives, cost effectiveness and compliance requirements.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate retirement plan consolidation projects to ensure new mergers are integrated seamlessly into the current retirement plan.
• Proactively explore innovative approaches to enhance and optimize the integration of retirement plans from mergers, aiming for an efficient process that delivers a positive experience for team members.
• Develop and coordinate communications including hosting education sessions for new team members, and all related materials.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and vendors throughout the integration process to ensure everyone's needs are being met.
• Conduct audits and reconcile plan and participant data to ensure accuracy.
• Produce reports and analytics related to team member benefits as needed.
• Maintain well-organized records, documents, and project files.
• Track tasks and assignments, ensuring timely completion to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project goals, timelines and deliverables.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for inquires related to retirement and benefit plan mergers.
• Support the Benefits team with administration of team member health and welfare and retirement plan benefit programs.
• Assist with various HR projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Benefits Coordinator, or in a related role
• Bachelor's Degree in human resources management, business administration, or a related field
• Knowledge of benefit program management, including state and federal legislation
• Experience with retirement plan management for the United States and Canada, including 401(k) and Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSP)
• Merger and Acquisition experience preferred
• Effective prioritization of tasks and time management to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate and engage with internal and external stakeholders as well as senior leadership
• Ability to reconcile large amounts of data to ensure accuracy
• Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced skills required in Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) or similar HR platform and data management systems
