Job Description

The Commercial / Residential Estimator will report to the preconstruction leadership team and play a key role in developing accurate project estimates and proposals. The successful Commercial / Residential Estimator will work closely with operations personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to help secure profitable work and ensure successful project delivery.

• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and material suppliers.
• Prepare competitive bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with operations teams during preconstruction and project handoff.
• Manage multiple estimates and bidding opportunities simultaneously.
• Assist with budgeting, value engineering, and scope clarification throughout the preconstruction process.

The Successful Applicant

For the Commercial / Residential Estimator we are seeking:

• Experience in construction estimating within residential, commercial, or related construction environments.
• Residential construction experience preferred, with concrete, foundations, flatwork, site development, excavation, or homebuilding backgrounds highly valued.
• Strong blueprint reading and quantity takeoff experience.
• Understanding of construction methods, materials, labor, and pricing.
• Ability to manage multiple bids while meeting deadlines.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience coordinating with builders, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Knowledge of the Colorado construction market is a plus.
