Position Overview We are currently seeking a determined Alarm Service Technician II who embodies our core values: Service, Accountability, Customer Focus, Growth, and Integrity. The Alarm Service Technician is a hands‑on role. You will play an integral role in building and maintaining customer relationships. This role entails visiting customer sites throughout the workday installing, servicing, and inspecting low‑voltage electronic security equipment. Key Responsibilities Experience with alarm panels such as 2GIG, Qolsys, Ademco, GE, DSC, DMP, and others. Ability to troubleshoot technical problems. Replace system components as assigned: panels, peripheral devices, audible/visual alarms, etc. Drive to customer homes to perform service; occasionally lift and carry (up to 30 pounds), push and/or pull, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems to identify equipment and systems repair. Provide customer education and training, including system demonstrations. Conduct thorough walkthroughs and site evaluations with the customer to review work orders and ensure satisfaction. Install and test all equipment to ensure proper functionality and signal verification. Identify opportunities to improve system usage and functionality and provide recommendations. Maintain safety practices to prevent injury and property damage. Keep work sites clean, organized, and customer‑satisfactory. Requirements High school diploma or GED. Good driving record and valid driver’s license. Excellent customer service skills. Working knowledge of how an alarm system operates. Comfortable climbing ladders and working at heights. Comfortable working in tight spaces such as crawl spaces, attics, and basements. Low‑voltage license or alarm installation certification. NICET I certification.
