Registered Nurse Clinical Standards & Regulations

Your future role at a glance Location : Austin, TX Facility: Ascension Seton Administrative Offices Department/Specialty: Administration Schedule: Day shift | Mon-Fri How you'll make an impact in this role Monitor legislative changes affecting nursing practice standards and advise nursing leadership on matters related to nursing practice. Monitor standards of nursing practice established by the State Board of Nursing. Lead efforts in redesign of the nursing care delivery to improve efficiency and patient outcomes. Provide consultative guidance regarding clinical practice to all areas. Monitor new legislative and regulatory issues that may directly/indirectly impact the practice of nursing; coordinate changes into policy/process and educate/monitor compliance as appropriate. Serve as an expert advisor for all levels of nursing particularly related to nursing scopes of practice. Investigate internal complaints or instances of RNs acting outside their scope of practice and report to board of nursing if necessary Lead jurisprudence classes What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
