This position will be located in Clearfield, Utah.What You’ll Get To Do:People leadership for a Minuteman III ICBM Sustainment mechanical engineering organization, to include performance management, career development, staffing, and merit planningProvide project and technical oversight for activities performed by the groupProvide ownership of and direction to the processes used by the groupCreate a vision for an engineering team and work to make that vision a realityProvide proposal inputs and review proposal content for both internal and external customersSupport department initiatives, recruiting, technology roadmap creation, cross-campus/sector involvement, and NCTA project leadershipLead a diverse team of engineers performing project development, technical requirements review, system support, planning and sustainment for a diverse set of products in the missile, air and space domainsResponsible for the strategic implementation of skills and labor mix; employee development; mentoring; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and proceduresInteracts with senior internal and external personnel on significant technical matters requiring coordination between organizations to ensure successful task completion and customer satisfactionResponsibilities also include horizontal integration of best practices across the organization; maintaining cognizance over technical activities; and ensuring execution of project statement of work and baselinesAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Defense Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:- Medical, Dental & Vision coverage- 401k- Educational Assistance- Life Insurance- Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions- Paid Time Off- Health & Wellness Resources- Employee DiscountsThis positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.You’ll Bring These Qualifications:8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in STEM; or 6 years with a Master’s3 years of hands-on experience supporting modernization, maintenance, design and analysis of mechanical systems3 years of ICBM Sustainment experience1 year of experience providing technical leadership of an engineering teamMust have an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain an U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearanceThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:Excellent written communication skills with a customer focused mindsetActive U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace EngineeringMinimum 5 years of ICBM experienceMinimum 7 years’ hands-on experience supporting modernization of ICBM infrastructure including aerospace vehicle groundSystems/subsystem and ground support equipment design and analysisMore than 3 years of experience providing technical leadership of an engineering teamThorough knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ASME and MIL-STDs)Excellent verbal communication skills with a customer focused mindsetPrimary Level Salary Range: $126,600.00 - $189,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
