Management Level: Class 6 ATTN Team Members: This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. Description: The starting pay for this position is $23.70/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift. POSITION SUMMARY: The Blender Operator operates an industrial blender to maintain a consistent quality dough. RESPONSIBILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE: Prepares for start-up or shut down of equipment as required Responsible for inspecting areas of responsibility for possible foreign material issues and promptly notifies Supervisor and QC of any contamination Responsible for keeping accurate legible records as required including Operator Log’s to include accurate records of blends Ensure product specifications are met in accordance with customers written specifications Responsible for maintaining consistent dough and dough temperature Responsible for assisting press operator as needed. Must be able to monitor the line while the press operator is on break Responsible for operating regrind equipment to maintain a consistent regrind supply Must have the ability to enter data as needed into a computer-based system Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable Required to use and read scales, stopwatch, thermometers, PH meter and moisture analyzer Ability to perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, etc.) with use of calculator PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Must be willing and able to lift 50lbs on a frequent basis The Team Member will flex/grip with wrists/hands The Team Member will walk, bend, stand, and climb steps Internal Openings for this position will be posted for three (3) working days (Tues-Thurs) utilizing Workday system for application process. Openings for this position will be filled by the most qualified, eligible bidder per Tyson’s Job Bidding Policy. Bidding disqualifiers include having: More than four (4) attendance points Active written warning within the last three (3) months Written warning with suspension within the last six (6) months Less than six months in current position (unless promotional position). *TM WILL HAVE A FIVE (5) DAY TRIAL PERIOD IN POSITION; after the five-day period, TM must remain in position, bid on promotional position (not guaranteed), or demote by completing a Status Change Form, notifying HR, and being transferred to any available GPW position. If self-demote, TM will be placed on a six (6) month “freeze” in which he/she cannot bid on any other positions. This applies as soon as TM completes five day qualification period in position. Team Members hired into part time positions are not eligible to bid on promotional positions and/or transfers for a period of 6 months.
