We are currently looking to hire an experienced Branch Managerto work out of our Broadway Branch in Astoria, Queens.

SUMMARY

Manages the overall operation of the Branch and the Branch personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Oversee the flow of cash and financial instruments in accordance with company policy. Assess risk of all financial transactions executed by Branch personnel. Collect data to analyze the present and future financial status of the organization. Directs, coordinates, and monitors activities to implement institution's policies, procedures, and practices Direct activities involving implementation of establishment services and functions including collecting delinquent accounts, or opening savings accounts. Establish procedures for custody and control of assets, records, loan collateral, and securities to ensure safekeeping. Contact customers and business, community, and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business. Compiles and reports financial data as required by organization and government regulations. Raise capital as needed by the organization. Analyzes investment options and makes recommendations to corporate officers for institution investment. Talk to customers to resolve account problems. Establish and maintains contact with banking-related industries such as insurance, real estate, and securities. Communicate with stockholders and other investors. Participate time to time with community organizations and in community projects. Take all types of loan applications and follow through to approval or rejections.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages subordinate supervisor(s) who supervises employees in the bank's front office operations and teller areas. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also, directly supervises non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelors Degree in Management, Accounting or other related field and at least two to five years of supervisory experience in a financial institution or related industry.
