Welder (MIG / TIG) – Job Shop Environment

Location: South Metro

Pay: $23-$32/hr

Job Summary

We are hiring a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to join a fast-paced contract manufacturing job shop. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of parts and materials, supporting different projects each week. Ideal candidates will have experience with thin-gauge welding, blueprint reading, and fabrication support tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding (14–18 gauge) in flat and horizontal positions
• Complete TIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel
• Load and unload parts from robotic welding equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
• Grind, clean, and finish welded parts to meet quality standards
• Inspect welds and correct defects as needed
• Support a variety of projects in a job shop environment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
• Follow all safety and production procedures

Required Qualifications

• Experience with MIG welding or completion of a welding program
• Ability to weld in flat and horizontal positions
• Experience or exposure to TIG welding (mild steel & stainless)
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
• Strong attention to detail and quality

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a job shop or high-mix production environment
• Experience with both MIG and TIG welding on thin-gauge material
• Familiarity with robotic welding systems
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and part types

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
