Details Acute care med/surg unit in a hospital setting 44-bed unit with a staff of 40 nurses Patient ratio of 1:5, with potential for 1:6 on both days and nights CNA support available, generally at a 1:10 ratio Telemetry is present but monitored on a separate unit Night shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) Every other weekend required Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis Floating required to other acute care units, cardiology (for medical patients), and the EC for acute care patient holds EMR: MEDITECH (experience preferred but not required) 17-week contract Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of med/surg experience required Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS (both must be AHA-issued) Driver's license required for consideration Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (based on address on driver's license) Additional Information Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed acute med/surg unit Scrub color: Caribbean Blue Orientation: 1 week general (including EMR training) plus 2 days of floor-specific orientation Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement Any time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment Albany, GA is a city of approximately 80,000 located 175 miles south of Atlanta and within driving distance of Tallahassee, FL and the Florida Gulf Coast American Traveler Job ID #P-692758.
