RN Supervisor | Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital (1394)

Job Purpose:
- The Registered Nurse Supervisor in Psychiatric care oversees nursing staff and ensures the delivery of high-quality consumer care within a behavioral health facility. This role involves managing clinical operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the nursing team during the third shift, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and procedures.
- Monitor patient care activities, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Provide direct patient care as needed, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and effective communication among healthcare providers.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for nursing staff.
- Address any staffing issues, including scheduling and performance management, to maintain optimal staff levels and performance.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Respond to emergencies and provide leadership in crisis situations, ensuring appropriate interventions and support.
- Collaborate with management to implement quality improvement initiatives and enhance patient care services.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors by enforcing health and safety regulations.

Required Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Additional education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Clinical Director of Nursing.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
- Minimum of One (1) year in a supervisory position required.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Proficient in clinical assessment and decision-making skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of behavioral health protocols and regulations, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
- Competency in using healthcare information systems and electronic medical records.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
