Job Description
Step into a rewarding role and make a meaningful impact supporting students throughout the academic year. This contract opportunity offers flexibility for qualified physical therapists interested in working both onsite and with medically homebound students.
You’ll collaborate with school staff to promote student achievement and independence, working a consistent schedule Monday through Friday with options for full-time or part-time hours (up to 37.5 per week). Your primary assignment will be at a school site, and you’ll also assist with the needs of students requiring at-home therapy interventions. As the caseload may shift during the year, adaptability and strong communication are valued.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Active Physical Therapist license for Delaware
- Experience delivering therapy services in pediatric or educational settings preferred
- Willingness to provide home visits for students with unique medical needs
- Ability to manage varying caseloads with professionalism and best practices
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
- Must provide current resume and Delaware PT license for consideration
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans in accordance with student IEPs
- Travel within the district to support both site-based and homebound students
- Coordinate care with educational and healthcare teams to maximize student progress
- Document evaluations, session notes, and progress reports in a timely manner
- Adjust interventions to align with student needs and changing caseloads throughout the year
- Engage with families and educators to foster student growth and functional independence
This role is ideal for a dedicated physical therapist eager to support students in diverse learning environments. If you’re ready for a meaningful contract assignment starting August 2026 and committed to making a positive difference, submit your resume and current Delaware PT license to take the next step in your career journey.
