Senior Electrical Engineer (Onsite)

Location & Security Clearance Date posted: 2026-06-23 Location: 2501 W University Dr, McKinney, TX 75071 – Wing D Building Role type: Onsite Citizenship: U.S. citizen required (for U.S. government security clearance) Security clearance: DoD Secret; active and existing clearance required after day 1 Responsibilities Coordinate integration and test efforts across disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Optical) supporting MTS production, capability insertion, and depot activities. Interface with Engineering, Production Managers, Supply Chain Managers, Suppliers/Sub-Contractors, Program Management, Customers, Operations assembly, and test personnel. Provide technical oversight and solutions to suppliers; improve test and cycle time; support cross-training. Lead electrical engineering tasks: HW integration lead for design of circuit cards, firmware, test and integration of electro-optical and hyperspectral systems (IR sensors, hyperspectral sensors, SWIR cameras, Day TV cameras, multi-axis gimbals, laser subsystems). Conduct trade studies for COTs products; lead test and integration and other production support of digital/analog circuitry and modules; troubleshoot and resolve MTS issues; verify and validate component performance; define and implement design or process changes. Manage multiple tasks independently; work in a team environment; travel to support integration and test events. Qualifications – Must Have Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred). Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Experience with test equipment (signal sources, spectrum analyzers, noise figure meters, logic analyzers). Experience testing and integrating systems with mission computers, recorders, encoders, etc. Qualifications – Prefer MTS SME with knowledge of system operation, configurations, interfaces, and operation. Knowledge of non-uniformity correction, video trackers, CAD tools, simulation and analysis tools. Experience with VHDL and Xilinx FPGA design tools. Familiarity with data collection and analysis tools – MATLAB, MathCAD. Experience with Microsoft Office applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
