Survey Office Technician | Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Starting Salary Range: $52,000-65,000 EFK Moen, LLC, is a civil engineering design consulting firm headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri with additional office locations in St. Charles, Missouri, Chicago and Fairview Heights, Illinois, and Atlanta, Georgia. We are currently seeking a Survey Office Technician for a full‑time position in our St. Louis, Missouri office. Our company offers a locally competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package. Job Description Under the direct supervision of our Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) and Survey Manager, the Survey Office Technician will be responsible for assisting with daily operations within the Survey Department. The majority of our work is on highway and bridge design projects which range in scope from small to multimillion‑dollar designs. Services are provided to a wide range of clients that include state DOTs, municipal and county governmental agencies and other engineering firms. Duties & Responsibilities Maintain clear, concise, and accurate office files Support the Project Surveyors to efficiently complete tasks assigned to office staff Support the Survey Field Crews to efficiently complete tasks assigned to field crews Provide coordination and expertise related to the work of field survey crews and office staff Review survey crew field work Prepare accurate computer drafted surveys, plats, topographic surveys, and engineering surveys based on field surveys Research and prepare land descriptions and maps in accordance with applicable standards Perform other job duties as assigned Minimum Knowledge/Qualifications, Skills & Abilities High school diploma 5+ years of experience in a similar position Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation Strong verbal, written and organizational skills Proficient with mathematical computations/calculations using algebra and geometry Ability to understand and interpret information in plats, maps, reports, descriptions, surveys, digital map models, etc. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with leadership and coworkers High level of personal integrity, ethics, client confidentiality and professionalism Proficiency with Excel and other general office software Valid Driver’s License Preferred Experience Associate or bachelor's degree in land surveying or a related field with relevant coursework LSIT Certification Physical Qualifications Primarily office work with the possibility of some occasional field work Ability to type and/or use a computer for extended periods of time Sufficient visual ability to focus attention on extended use of electronic documents and software Ability to walk, stand and sit for extended periods of time Requires strong physical ability to walk long distances through a variety of terrains, lift and transport up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods Demonstrate flexibility and/or agility, as well as hand dexterity to operate equipment/tools Willingness to endure a variety of weather conditions, as well as possible exposures to poisonous plants, insects, snakes, and animals Ability to commute and/or travel long distances and/or stay overnight at project locations for extended time EFK Moen, LLC Offers Its Full‑time Employees Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Company Holidays Paid Parental Leave Health, Dental and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Contribution Company sponsored Short and Long‑Term disability coverage Company sponsored life insurance coverage Professional License exam fee reimbursement Bonus Opportunities Support of professional organization membership and activities Work‑life balance through a flexible, casual work environment A culture of mentoring and teamwork EFK Moen is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace.
