Gas Leak Survey Technician- MO

Location: Ballwin, MO Job Id: 2303 # of Openings: 0 Position Overview GridHawk LLC, The Premier Provider for Utility Services is seeking to fill the position for our Leak Survey Department. The technician will predominantly be in the field, visiting various locations within a day’s work. The role requires routing practices, strong organization, and the ability to work in adverse weather conditions year-round. Responsibilities include ACI inspections on indoor meters, disconnect non‑payment of service, disconnect service point, meter reads, meter removals, and any other assigned work required by the manager or customer. All employees are assigned proper technology and work vehicles to perform work-related duties. Tools and Equipment Company vehicle Laptop Smartphone Uniforms Personal protective equipment Essential Responsibilities Accurately detect and classify gas leaks while inspecting designated areas. Locate and accurately assess the origin of damage and gas leaks. Record and process effective data. Complete paperwork and notifications. Utilize tools, prints, maps, and past records to complete job tasks. Utilize locating tools, technology, and equipment. Communicate effectively with Project Management. Perform daily check‑ins. Submit completed reports. Meet target completion deadlines. Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate (Required) Valid driver’s license (Required) No more than 3 moving violations within a rolling 5‑year period (Required) Satisfactory background screening (Required) Negative DOT pre‑employment drug screen (Required) Background check within the last 5 years (Required) DOT drug test compliance (Required) Essential Skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interactions with citizens, company, contractor representatives, and customers. Knowledge and understanding of safe worksite practices. Working within and utilizing existing utility standard designs. Use and basic maintenance of industry standard locating equipment. Experience using basic communication and technology devices. Physical Requirements Capable of moving about on construction work sites, public streets, and parkways. Capable of lifting up to 50–75 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, kneel or sit for extended periods. Hand‑eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various measurement, locating, and testing instruments. Work Environment Safe work outside in all weather conditions year‑round. Occasional work in excavations, areas, and roadways. Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. Hourly Pay Varies based on experience.
