Machinist – Aviation Component Repair Industry: Aviation / Aerospace Component MRO Job Type: Direct Hire Location: Louisville, KY Pay Rate: $35.00 – $40.00/hr, with quick advancement opportunities Available Shift: 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Snelling has an immediate opening for a Machinist with an established aviation company in the Louisville, KY area. This position will work with manual lathes, vertical lathes, mills, surface grinders, and CNC mill/lathe programming to machine and fabricate precision aircraft components to spec. The ideal candidate can work independently, reads blueprints fluently, and brings a proactive, problem-solving attitude to a fast-paced aerospace repair environment.

Job Duties

• Machine and fabricate aircraft components and tooling to exact specifications
• Operate a variety of manual and CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and grinders
• Program and run CNC mills and lathes
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Inspect finished parts for conformance to industry and OEM standards
• Support fabrication and custom tooling projects as needed

Machinist Requirements

• Proven experience operating both manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, surface grinders)
• Ability to program CNC mills and lathes
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Precision measurement and inspection skills (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
• Aviation/aerospace machining experience a plus
