What You'll Be Doing

• Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering relevant diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in partnership with physicians or independently, based on your credentials
• Educating patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management strategies
• Prescribing medications and therapies within the scope of your practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and overseeing chronic care processes
• Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care
• Accurately documenting all aspects of patient care within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Georgia
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialization
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
