Supply Chain Planner Location: Memphis, TNIndustry: Industrial Manufacturing / Chemicals / Consumer ProductsWe are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planner in a key, Senior level contributor role key to to our production planning, inventory optimization, material availability, and customer fulfillment activities across a complex manufacturing network. This individual will play a critical role in balancing demand, supply, capacity, and inventory to ensure high service levels while driving operational efficiency and cost performance. Day to day responsibilities for this role, will include:Develop and maintain production, supply, and inventory plans to support customer demand and service objectives.Convert forecasts into actionable manufacturing and replenishment schedules while balancing capacity and material availability.Monitor supply chain risks, shortages, and operational constraints; drive corrective actions to protect customer commitments.Execute MRP planning activities and coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely material availability.Manage inventory levels, safety stock, and replenishment parameters to optimize service, cost, and working capital.Identify and address excess, obsolete, slow-moving, and at-risk inventory.Maintain accurate ERP planning data, including lead times, sourcing information, and inventory settings.Analyze planning exceptions, resolve root causes, and improve planning accuracy and system performance.Support cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliation activities, and inventory accuracy initiatives.Partner with operations, procurement, warehousing, customer service, and sales teams to align supply chain execution.Develop reporting and performance metrics related to inventory, service levels, supplier performance, and planning effectiveness.Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects focused on process optimization, cost reduction, and supply chain efficiency.The successful candidate will be a proactive planning professional with a strong background in supply chain operations, inventory optimization, and ERP-driven planning processes. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possess the ability to balance customer service, operational constraints, and inventory performance while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideally qualified professional will bring to the role:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or a related discipline.4+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, inventory management, materials planning, or demand planning.Experience working within manufacturing, chemical, industrial, consumer products, or process-driven environments preferred.APICS/ASCM CPIM certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.Strong knowledge of MRP and ERP systems, including SAP or similar platforms.Experience using advanced reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Excel.Proven ability to manage inventory performance, material availability, and customer service objectives.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Let's connect by phone and discuss briefly and I can share more about the role, company, etc.Apply to this post and email me at View email address on click.appcast.io for immediate consideration and let's make sure to discuss soon.Benefits
