Sr. Pricing Specialist

Meyer Utilities Structures is searching for a Pricing Specialist. The Pricing Specialist plays an important role in maximizing revenue, maintaining competitiveness in the market, and supporting business growth. The Pricing Specialist will work with members of the Commercial organization such Sales Directors and Commercial Managers, Project Management, Estimating, Supply Chain, and Operations. Meyer Utility Structures is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications.What You’ll DoDevelop proposal pricing for all RFPsUnderstand customer account nuances and dynamicsDevelop pricing recommendations for all alliances and preferred vendors work based on contract requirementsUpdate pricing based on industry indicesIdentify opportunities to increase margin based on tracking pricing based on industry indices, internal labor adjustments and market trendsUpdate pricing based on customer changes as neededWork with Supply Chain to finalize freight estimates outside of established ratesAnalyze the closing data of the jobs compared to bids or original information and work with other area of the business on the opportunitiesWhat You’ll NeedExcellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex data sets and trendsExcellent Problem Solving SkillsKnowledge of pricing strategiesAbility to understand and create a pricing advantageExcellent communication skills – communicating pricing recommendations to Commercial Managers and Sales Directors, working with multiple departments including Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Estimating, Project ManagementExperience with business intelligence software and data analysis toolsAdvanced Microsoft Excel SkillsExcellent Organizational SkillsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experienceMinimum 3 years prior relevant experienceWorking knowledge of utility structures industry preferredJob SummaryRequisition Number: SRPRI014947Job Category: Manufacturing OpsSchedule: Full-Time
