Sr. Project Manager

Sr. Project ManagerThis role is responsible for managing complex infrastructure and development projects that support basic science research. The Sr. Project Manager will oversee projects involving High-Performance Computing (HPC) hardware installations, laboratory instruments, and cloud environments. This position will coordinate deployments in both the main data center and colocation facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive High-Performance Computing (HPC) projects from initiation to completion.Manage infrastructure installations, including HPC hardware and data center environments.Oversee the transition from LSF to Slurm and from Infinitiband to Ethernet RoCE.Coordinate deployments in both primary and colocation data centers.Manage DevOps-related projects and workflows.Collaborate with executive stakeholders, management, and system users.Utilize change management skills to influence stakeholders and manage project scope.Required QualificationsEducation: A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in a related business or technical specialty is required.Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of project management experience is required. Candidates should have a background in project management, ideally originating from a technical role with HPC experience.Certifications: An active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is mandatory.Preferred QualificationsExperience in a multi-disciplinary healthcare or academic research environment.Proficiency with ServiceNow PPM, Azure DevOps, or JIRA.Knowledge of Cloud technologies (Azure), Networking, and Virtualization.Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).Experience with AI tools to optimize project management or experience managing AI-related research projects.Strong skills in understanding complex subject matter within a technical IT and research environment.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
