Role Overview

Our organization is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead infrastructure projects within the Technology Services portfolio. This is a leadership role first and a technical role second. The successful candidate will command a room of executive stakeholders, drive accountability across teams, and hold scope and schedule discipline under pressure. Technical fluency is valuable; selection weights leadership presence, judgment, and the ability to see complex initiatives through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects across the Technology Services - Infrastructure portfolio from initiation through closure.
• Build and maintain integrated work plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and PMO governance artifacts.
• Own the communications plan and reporting cadence, including steering materials and executive briefings.
• Provide direction and influence to cross-functional technical teams, vendors, and subject-matter experts without direct reporting authority.
• Apply structured change management to scope, requirements, and expectations.
• Surface risk early, drive issues to resolution, and make decisions when necessary.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. No substitution of experience for degree is permitted.

Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years managing enterprise-wide IT projects as the accountable project manager.

Certification: Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.

Location & Work Authorization: Must reside in and work from the continental United States and be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Engagement Continuity: Candidate must be able and willing to commit to the full duration of the engagement. A resume must show a stable assignment history.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with portfolio-level governance.
• Technical experience with Telecom and VoIP, endpoint management (Intune), Azure and cloud services, networking, virtualization, wireless, or data center projects.
• Working familiarity with waterfall, Agile (Scrum, SAFe), and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Experience in a multi-disciplinary healthcare or academic research environment.
• Ability to understand complex technical subject matter to challenge estimates.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow PPM, Azure DevOps, or JIRA.
