Fire Detection Inspector

Job Overview Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventive maintenance on electrical, sprinkler, and suppression life‑safety product lines, including comparable product lines from other manufacturers. Responsibilities Test and inspect fire alarm systems for existing and new customers. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed using company tools. Adhere to company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines. Follow verbal and written instructions in a professional manner. Transport and lift equipment and tools that may weigh up to 70 lbs. Work in difficult or unusual positions, including climbing ladders, using scaffolding, and operating high‑lift equipment. Be available for alternative shifts and weekends as required by customer needs. Perform all duties safely and maintain a clean and safe work area. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year installation or service experience in testing and inspecting fire alarm equipment. Self‑starter who can work with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and quick learning ability. Physical fitness to perform labor requiring strength and endurance. Excellent communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Capacity to work well with others in a team environment. Obtain NICET I certification within one year of employment. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook) and smartphone proficiency. Compensation and Benefits Hourly range: $18.22 – $25.09 (adjusted for experience, education, skills, and market data).
