Quality Assurance InspectorNesco Resource is looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector located in Waterbury, CT. This is a temp to perm or direct hire opportunity for the right candidate. Shift: Monday-Thursday 6AM-4:30PM Pay: $22-$26/hour depending on experience Position Overview: This individual will play an important role in ensuring small precision-machined components meet established visual, dimensional, functional, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment, using precision measuring instruments, reading technical drawings and blueprints, and documenting inspection results. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in accuracy, consistency, and maintains high-quality standards.ResponsibilitiesInspect manufactured precision parts to ensure they meet visual, dimensional, and functional requirementsPerform inspections using a variety of precision measuring and testing instrumentsVerify machine setup and first-piece/sample parts prior to productionRead and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirementsDocument inspection results accurately on reports, records, and other quality documentationIdentify and communicate quality concerns, discrepancies, and technical issues to appropriate team membersFollow established inspection procedures, test procedures, work instructions, and quality standardsInspect packaging, labeling, material handling, and storage practices to ensure requirements are metSupport continuous improvement and help identify opportunities to improve processes and qualityMaintain accurate records and contribute to effective quality documentationWork independently while also collaborating with production and other departments as neededMaintain a clean, organized, and detail-focused work approachQualificationsPrevious Quality Inspector, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or related manufacturing experience preferredExperience inspecting small or precision-machined components strongly preferredProficiency using various precision measuring and testing instrumentsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, including GD&TKnowledge of manufacturing processes and inspection proceduresAbility to follow detailed test procedures and work instructionsExperience in creating and maintaining inspection reports and quality recordsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to visually inspect small precision parts, with and without magnificationStrong written and verbal communication skills, particularly when discussing technical mattersBasic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and OutlookAbility to promote and support process improvement initiativesNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
