Boutique practice Great reputation Competitive compensation Work/Life Balance Job Details Responsibilities Represent employers in state and federal employment litigation Handle matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour claims, and related workplace disputes Manage cases from initial evaluation through discovery, dispositive motions, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other substantive legal documents Take and defend depositions Conduct witness interviews and prepare witnesses for deposition and trial Develop litigation strategy and provide clients with ongoing case assessments Represent clients at mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and court appearances Negotiate settlements and evaluate potential exposure Advise employers regarding litigation risk and employment-related compliance issues Work directly with HR professionals, executives, in-house counsel, and other client stakeholders Qualifications Active membership in good standing with the California Bar Experience handling management-side employment litigation, at least 10 years Strong knowledge of California and federal employment law Experience with discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour matters Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Experience drafting substantive motions and managing written discovery Deposition experience strongly preferred Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload Strong client communication and case management skills Ability to develop practical litigation strategies while balancing legal risk and business considerations Interested in hearing more?
