Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Pain Management

Position: Certified Medical Assistant
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Norcross, GA

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team and support a pain management physician. The CMA will assist with patient care, clinical procedures, documentation, and daily clinical operations.

Training will be provided to the selected candidate to ensure they are comfortable with the physician’s workflow, procedures, and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pain management physician during patient examinations and procedures.

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.

• Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and patient information.

• Assist with patient intake and clinical documentation.

• Prepare examination rooms and ensure necessary supplies are available.

• Assist the physician with procedures as directed and within the appropriate scope of practice.

• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and EMR documentation.

• Assist with medication reconciliation and patient follow-up.

• Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.

• Keep clinical areas clean, organized, and properly stocked.

• Assist with administrative and clerical duties related to patient care.

• Follow physician instructions, office policies, and established clinical procedures.

• Work collaboratively with the physician and healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.

• Previous clinical or medical office experience preferred.

• Experience in pain management is a plus, but not required .

• Willingness to learn and receive training.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Professional, dependable, and compassionate.

• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

• CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Schedule

Monday–Friday
8 hours per day

This is a consistent weekday position. The selected candidate will receive training to become familiar with the practice's procedures and workflow.
