Job Title: Cert Sterile Proc Tech

Location: Texas Children's Hospital

Contract Length: Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Job Summary: The Cert Sterile Proc Tech is responsible for ensuring the efficient processing and sterilization of medical instruments and devices throughout Texas Children's Hospital. This role involves handling decontaminated medical devices, performing sterilization processes, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The technician will also operate sterilization and processing equipment, prioritize tasks, and work independently under consistent supervision.

Required Qualifications:

• CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management)
• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of a wide variety of instrumentation used in the operating room and hospital settings
• Ability to operate OR sterilization and processing equipment
• Proficiency in prioritizing and organizing tasks

Additional Information:

• Proficiency with steam, EO, and low-temperature sterilization systems
• Experience with washer/disinfector operations and ultrasonic cleaners
• Familiarity with biological and chemical indicator testing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
