Paralegal

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our client's team. In this role, you will support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation—from pre-claim investigation through trial and appeal. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at managing multiple priorities, and has a deep understanding of litigation procedures and documentation. Key Responsibilities Conduct pre-claim investigations, perform legal research, and assist with initial case assessments Draft pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and appellate filings; manage court submissions Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and organize case files Manage pleadings and discovery indexes to ensure accuracy and accessibility Prepare, organize, and maintain exhibits, evidence, briefs, and appendices for hearings and trials Assist attorneys with interrogatories, discovery requests, and other case-related tasks Gather, verify, and analyze information from various sources Coordinate communication between attorneys, clients, and third parties Provide administrative and tactical support during settlement negotiations and case resolution Requirements Strong knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and legal procedures Highly organized with the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-moving environment Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail Proficiency in legal research tools, case management software, and standard computer applications Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or relevant paralegal certification required Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
