Legal Assistant

Siskind Susser is looking for a full-time Legal Assistant Floater based in the Memphis, TN office. This is not a hybrid or remote position. The position will require working in the Memphis office Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm. The Legal Assistant position supports all paralegals and attorneys on all teams in the preparation and filing of petitions and applications. Responsiblities include: Collect necessary information and documentation from clients to prepare applications for assigned cases. Prepare and assemble case files. Print and photocopy documents, data entry, prepare legal forms. Prepare/draft filings to relevant federal and state agencies. Enter case information into computerized databases and case management systems. Track the status of filings and inform the client of any follow up that may be necessary. Scan and save mail and other documents. Update computer databases and utilize case management tools. Prepare document. requests and other communications. Ensure all deadlines are met. Maintain confidentiality of client information. Organize and file case documents. Provide regular front desk coverage. Requirements The successful candidate will have: High School Diploma; Associate's Degree preferred Prior administrative or legal office experience Ability to work effectively within a team and under deadlines handling multiple priorities Excellent communication skills and outstanding organizational, problem solving and time management skills Spanish fluency in written and verbal communication skills strongly desired Benefits Health Insurance Dental & Vision Short and Long-term disability 401k with employer match PTO days #J-18808-Ljbffr Siskind Susser P.C.
